WILFULL IGNORANCE

is what it is, when individuals at some level of understanding realize that their beliefs are probably false, and refuse to acknowledge the facts that would establish their falsity.

Willful ignorance serves this useful purpose for Trump and has proven to be an effective strategy in his movement to undermine a republic.

The perfect example is Trump’s loss in 2020, and then the blanket denial of the facts. This strategy looks good so far as a winning strategy in this election, Trump’s use of willfull ignorance, his mastery of and manipulation of the wilfull ignorance in this electorate is his strategy, his confidence game.
