TRUMP’S LEGION OF GLOOM

Trump’s focus is on what’s wrong with everything, not on solutions. Trump’s people are people who have had stuff, their lives full of things, stuff, like housing, a job, a sense of community, families, something to lose, and they feel their place in society threatened by people not in Trump’s cult of personality. Trump’s con started with the border, and build the wall, creating a real fear of criminal hordes massing at the border.

Mexico did away with slavery in the 1830s, told the Texas people they had to give up their slaves. Texas revolted. The rest is history. A Texas Republic, then a Mexican American war that Mexico lost. Then Texas enters the American Union as a slave state, then the Civil War, then Jim Crow.

Now Trump fills the scene with his confidence game selling gloom and doom to people, what’s wrong with everything, that only he can fix, he’s the solution.
