TRUMP AND FASCISM

Fascism, in Trump’s American brand, is a cult of personality based on the infallibility of its authoritarian leader and the promise of an imaginary land, the land of making America great again, when this greatness was is up to the imagination of the true believer in an alternate reality.

It is not patriotic to support an insurrectionist because gas prices were lower before pandemic induced inflation made it possible for the corporate world to price gouge the citizens of the world with the collusion of the governments they fund. Price controls are the solution to price gouging, and governments resist price controls because their donor classes are doing the price gouging, the people of the world who are its economic engines, the Wall Streets of the world, the ruling classes.

Trump’s logic is the logic of a narcissistic fascist, a cult leader, his followers have acceped his alternate reality because it is convenient, and they agree with his grievances about their loss of entitlement, their sense of powerlessness is assuaged by his will to power.

The fact of Trump is like the fact that Hitler was, or any other demigogue with a will to power. People believe the cult because they want to, it is an alternate reality embraced, MAGA, a dangerous moment in American history, a successful fascist movement, Trump and Trump nation.
