TOO MANY GUNS

This is America today, sold, 400,000,000 guns or so, 14,000,000 assault rifles in the last ten years, driven by profit for the arms manufacturers, and as a vehicle to political power by American politicians, they, and the industry mouth piece, the NRA, have sold a gun craze, successfully. The country is faced with the reality that actors in the political class see the chaos manifested by the gun craze as a route to rule. Historically, the country has always had sensible gun regulations. Machine guns are illegal. Assault weapons are modern machine guns, as are pistols with extended magazines.

The anti mask, anti vaccine wing of the Republican party, sold individual freedom, not being told what to do by government. Government regulation is the enemy here. A lot of chaos could have been avoided, a lot of illness and death in society avoided, if these people had not denied modern medical science. This movement is based on a lack of respect for the rights of others, ignoring the pandemic, the chaos of guns on our streets, voter suppression, the Republican agenda.
