9/27/19, a big day, Trump tweeting that it’s a do nothing Congress.

The stable genius understands Joe Goebbel’s dictum to tell a lie, tell a big one, and repeat it and repeat it to the masses and they will believe.

The loyal opposition has this weak habit of defending themselves, speaking to the lie rather than repeating and repeating the truth endlessly, that legislation is being held up in the Senate by the Repubs in control of that body. They have to convince the masses that the Republicans are the Do Nothing gang.

Gun control is a good example of duopoly spin: The fact that the 2d Amendment is about militias before there was a standing army and they had these unruly slave rebellions to deal with, and the Indians, it’s about States having well regulated militias. This was before Washington and Hamilton created the standing army, the instrument of manifest destiny and expropriation of Indian territory. The writers were focussed on a distrust of the Federal government, Henry and Mason States’ rights people, and certainly didn’t intend Indians or their slaves have the right to keep and bear arms.

Every day the loyal opposition should continue with the mantra,” the do nothing Republicans” in the Senate, blocking legislation, is the Do nothing Congress. That’s why I call them the loyal opposition. They have stepped up, investigating something that if Bill Barr had had his way, the stable genius would have dogged another one.

So let’s give a shout out to the loyal opposition in the duopoly, where very few really want to drain the swamp.
