THERE IS NO ONE TO BLAME

The educational system is not into teaching civics and civic responsibility any more, or not enough? In America today, of all places, the people seem unconcerned with the uncertain fate of their republic.

The Roman republic was plebes, the common people, the patricians, the rich, and eveybody else, allies, associates of the republic, and captured slaves.

America has a republic, started out with the patriarchs, a landed arisocracy, the common man, and slaves, and the indigenous native populations, the subjugated peoples, the tribes.

In 1776 the states determined who voted. In some states only landed white men had the vote.

White men without property got the franchise with Andrew Jackson, the man who still haunts the 20 dollar bill. The trail of tears guy, defied the Supreme Court, kick the native populations down the road.

I would like to blame the advertising, for where the country is at, say that it has numbed the consciousness of the nation into the present dystopia.

This next election should take the cake, may take a republic, a stealth coup that snuck up on a distracted public.
