THE POLITICS OF GUNS

Where I taught for 20 years my students were all criminals and there was no gun crime unless a cop in one of the towers lost it. Never happened when I worked. There were no gun crimes because there were no guns.

One political party has discovered that by making guns available everywhere, you are going to have gun crime everywhere, which gives your party the opportunity to get elected fighting gun crime.

Sensible gun laws that the country has always had had to go, and guns made available without controls, everywhere, the gun craze popularized as individual freedom, then you run on gun crime.

Guns of the normal sort, I think most States say you have to be 21, for real killing machines for mass murders in schools, supermarkets, the suburbs, you have to be 18 to get the assault rifle.

Think about the mindset of people who make guns available everywhere running on gun crime. Their crime fighting ads will blanket the air until election day, “Fight crime, vote Republican!”

It is bizzare that this works, make sensible gun laws unpopular, make guns available everywhere, and run on gun crime, November 8th.
