AN ORANGE REVOLUTION

In a land where many have chosen, by a margin of slightly more than a million and a half or so humans of the voting eligibility category, there were no real disputes about the legitimacy of the election. There was no “stop the steal” or” hanging chads”.

America has chosen a billionaire to return to the Presidency, a man who likes blue suits, red ties, white shirts, and paints himself orange daily, it looks like. There has been no notice from the Press, on the orange revolution, not the Glorious Revolution of William of Orange come to save the day in old England, here on the new year, the country has a man who paints himself orange President, Donald J Trump.

He’s come a long way from his 2021 insurrection, rehabilitated by Joe Biden, and the Israel/Hamas war, the war in Ukraine, inflation, and a hoi poloi, who have made their choice, so for laughs, on New Year’s Day, I’m calling it an “Orange Revolution”.

And as the Trump nation is saying, flags flying, his picture on the sides of the F-150, the one I saw yesterday was red, a Trump flag at the left, and an Old Glory on the right, waving in the traffic’s breeze, “Get over it, he won!” on the tailgate of a pick up truck, Trump’s glorious revolution, Happy New Year!
