The General Election

I wish the dog whistle and the associated bigotry wasn’t going to be a feature of the general election, and wishes are not going to work. The winner of the election will be the individual who can win a majority of votes in the swing States, a little more than 600,000 votes could and may determine the result of the Presidential election because of the Electoral College.

There are 132 million or so Americans who live in poverty, one paycheck from the street families. Housing is a crisis locally and nationally. The present occupant of the White House has managed to fool some of the people most of the time, ruling for his class, the very rich, while bamboozling those in the country who vote against their economic interests for other reasons.

Joe Biden is actually a moderate Republican of 20 years ago, as was his boss, Obama, they worked for the ruling class, mostly. You got the Republican health plan, Obama/Romney care. Black women brought the nomination to Hillary in 2016, and they may vote Biden, a nostalgia candidate for what never was, like Trump, in 2020. One way or the other, America could get fooled again, the elite, the special interests, the rich, in this land of endless wars of choice because they are profitable for the ruling class, the functionaries of empire and the war machine, at 738 billion, this year, war the country’s priority, hegemony and dominion, the empire no one talks about.
