THE EMBARGOES

Embargoes do not punish the ruling classes in autocratic, one party systems, the common people, who are coming to the US, are and do suffer the consequences of US hegemony and dominion, “the Monroe Doctrine applied” by the US, on the Americas, North and South, since 1826.

Let’s just pick two, Cuba and Venezuela. The US has been embargoing Cuba since 1959. Venezuela, the embargoes began when the oil cartel was nationalized by Hugo Chavez, the US then arranged at least 2 unsuccessful coups. The people in these countries are victims of US policies.

Cuba is simple, a former colony, it rebelled, kicked out the ruling class, installed a one party government, Fidel Castro’s communist party. They have paid the price of resisting a great power.

Maduro runs a banana republic that calls itself socialist. Venezuelans are coming here because the US has destroyed the economy of the country with its embargoes and sanctions, because it could, just like it has with the Cubans.

China’s one party, so called communist party, is a one party autocracy, like Cuba and Viet Nam, the party rules, yet no crushing economic sanctions on Viet Nam or China by the US, because US can not enforce them, or the US would.

Stopping the US economic sanctions is the answer to the migrant crises at the border.
