THE CONSTITUTION
I’ve known one billionaire, really smart, never thought of him as a business tycoon when he was my professor in a humanities class, John Sperling. It was a rarity, John and I coming to the same interpretation of History, that was a challenging, a fun part of education, discovery, something I think we both enjoyed. Maybe not.
We agreed that the Constitution of 1789, and the present Constitution had been changed by the amendment process, the Social Contract voodoo. He said that voodoo wasn’t the right word.
Saw a spot, 11K, get your Masters, Phoenix University. I Googled him. I’d liked the guy, a little guy with a big head in more ways than one. He died in 2006, a billionaire.
If the Catholic Christian Supreme Court redefines the Constitution the way people have done with the Bibles of the various Christian sects, the Social Contract has been broken?
It is a curious thought.
