THE AFGHAN HOLY WAR

The Taliban fought a war over religion, the US, NATO, did what they called nation building, the world power game, hegemony and dominion, never acknowledging their enemy’s religious war to rid the country of infidel invaders.

You fight a war, know your enemy.

That it was a holy war for the Taliban, a spiritual awakening of religious intolerance, not religious freedom, a patriarchy of Islamists, who tolerate no religion but their own, never sunk into the mindset of their invaders. Islamic extremists have been known to kill people for leaving their brand of religion, the outright fanaticism was lost on who they considered crusader invaders.

It was a religious war first, a culture war second, and third a war against the arrogance of Western power, Western values, these people, these infidels, unbelievers, invade the country and tell us who to be, how to act, with the arrogance of military might, the arrogance of power.
