STUDENT DEBT

Rich students who are average students will not have a financial problem getting through college. Poor students, who are average students, middle class students who are average students, will graduate with student loan debt that the rich student does not have.

College is affordable in most of the industrial democracies, as is universal health care. America is a country that has made a practice of saddling middle class and poor students with debt if they do not get academic or athletic scholarships. America’s ridiculous college costs make American society less equal than other democracies, where affordable college is available for all who qualify.

Other countries do not saddle their students who are not rich with student debt that can not be retired through bankruptcy. This is as ridiculous as paying at least 40k a year to go just about any private college in the country.

Think about these kids, 80k in debt, and a BA. Other countries think more about the well being of their societies, their citizens can get an affordable education. Here, you get the education that you can afford, and college is a ticket to student debt.

Student debt is indentured servitude if you can not discharge it through bankruptcy.
