SPIRITUAL FASCISM
They never left, the you should think like me crowd, the intolerant of others people. They have always been there, it is now their moment in the sun, to tell other people that their truth is the truth.
Religions are a curious human invention. This phenomenum is an authoritarian streak, a will to power, a lack of respect for others. A lack of respect for other views is the key element.
The anti woke trip here, the gay bashing, the conformity mantra, the intolerance, the anti intellectualism, this is a spiritual fascism, cult behavior.
Jesus was into forgiveness and compassion, respect for other people. He never said that people had to believe what he believed, he said that his kingdom of heaven was for those who believed in it.
Spiritual fascism is what it is, the religions that persecute, execute those who do not subscribe to their identity politics. Religions are doctrines of belief, no one can prove the validity of any of them. Gods come and go.
The evangelical trip here in America is organized intolerance, an authoritarian movement that lacks an understanding of its own human folly. Believing that you can know what nobody knows is a hard sell to doubters, and it should be. Nobody knows what nobody knows no matter how hard it is sold, it’s intolerance, authoritarianism, a will to rule.
