PRESIDENTIAL IMMUNITY
Means presidential impunity. There’s nothing in the US Constitution about any citizen being above the law because of their office in government either elected or appointed.
The members of the Supreme Court are designated by the Court’s role in history to judicial review, to interpret the Constitution, not to make laws. The Constitution elaborates that making laws is Congress’s role.
If an unappointed body of lawyers can at this point in history make the chief executive immune from prosecution for actions while in or out of office, the social contract, the Constitution, has been broken. In a democracy, no citizen is above the law.
Presidential immunity means presidential despotism, America. Oh well.
