POCKET BOOK ISSUES
I will spin a tale of similarities, the Germans had a government that was run by people who played by the established rules, that had been crushed by war reparations, pocket book issues, and the people watched their government building in Berlin burned down under mysterious circumstances, during their culture wars, about who belonged in the country, who was really German.
Hitler sold the country on his culture war against gays, and socially struggling groups, blamed them for the corruption of the nation by not agreeing with his ideas about the purifying of the nation through “Aryianization”, the confiscation of Jewish assets, and properties.
The DNC and the super delegates brought us Trump, and his culture wars, his supporters support teaching alterative history in schools, censorship at public libraries and school libraries.
These people are selling a con like Hitler did, attacked the Capitol, and deny the actual history of the country. There are a lot of people here who no longer believe in democracy. If you change the government, you change society. A failed democracy brings chaos.
The con is that the pocket book issues, inflation, are caused by the government. Global inflation was caused by the pandemic, and will fade with it. Inflation is better here than in Europe, the rest of the Globe.
The Germans in 1933, faced with inflation caused by war reparations, blamed social deviants, socialists, a weak, compromised government, like Biden and the DNC, that only a strong leader could solve, a perfect leader, an autocrat playing the blame game. For Hitler it was the Jews, for Trumpism it’s the border, minorities, immigrants, liberals.
The probable new look: Expect investigations of the previous weak government, purges of its members, tax cuts for the rich, increased militarism, cutting social programs, cultural cleansing, social dislocations, the chaos that the new society will produce, shades of the spectacle at the Capitol, that nationalism, Trump nation. The smug Christian Court will remake what the new look and its programs do not.
People are mad and society will live with their choices. What happened at Uvalde, Texas, the slaughter of those children, their teachers, the coverup by officials, the lack of accountability, are not pocket book issues, they are life and death issues.
