Money as speech, corporations as people, elections awash with cash, candidates rated by how much money they have raised.

John Somebody’s campaign is on the rise, he’s raised 12 million in two days, from where does not seem to matter, how much does not seem to matter, it is all about the cash in American politics.

Billions of dollars spent on campaigns is not a symptom of bought and paid for candidates? Congress spending 30 hours a week fund raising for the next election cycle, this is now a norm.

This is not the way to run a democracy, it is a way to run a plutocracy, a government run by rich elites. In a land where money talks loudly in the political process, who can expect anything else.
