I got a post from my favorite candidate about the absurd amount of money it takes to run a political campaign. That’s the point.

Monied interests run the political process, because that’s the political system you have. It’s also a minority government, the Electoral College, and the Senate, where each state gets two Senators, regardless of population.

As one vilified Congressperson has put it, “ It’s all about the Benjamins.” And she was probably looking in the direction of K Street and DC lobby network.
