COMMUNISM, SOCIALISM, CAPITALISM, PLUTOCRACY

Some people have been throwing around these terms that evolved out of what has happened to all of humanity, the industrial revolution, and it’s consequences for the planet, mankind, the environment and the future.

Products of the industrial revolution and the economics of it on communities, socialism is community control of community resources, communism is government control of community resources, and capitalism is control of community resources by private interests.

Capitalism’s control of community resources is by capital, the kind of capital varies, like banks, financial institutions, corporations, private property, like your house, and public property owned by the people as national resources. Corporations are organizations chartered by government to perform community functions.

Capitalism’s invisible hand of the marketplace, supply and demand, can be compromised by monopoly capital, and closed, or captured markets, and corporate consolidation of the means of production. Unregulated capitalism leads to corporate excess, fixed markets, price fixing, social inequality.

Communism in modern times means one party control of the economy, like in China. National politics determined by the party and its leader run the economy.

Democracies have mixed economies, subject to public opinion, the voter. Autocracies are governments run by a leader, are cabals, like criminal cartels. Plutocracies are governments run by the rich.
