COLLATERAL DAMAGE IN A WAR

Slaughter for a Wednesday,

scenes I can not watch of children

being sacrificed to the god of war in Gaza,

manifestations of human cruelty

magnified by the science of distruction

one dead soul after another,

without remorse, executing children

out of revenge against people

who would not give up their land,

who sacrificed their humanity

for one day of revenge, which

has today created the situation

that looks like carpet bombing

of a city that is one half children,

a war against human decency,

funded by the US taxpayer

in the so called holy land

of both of these religions,

the slaughter of the innocent

is a necessary consequence,

on these mean streets dead

children are collateral damage.
