APATHY WON

I would like to BLAME Biden and his mishandling of the border, and the DNC, and then White voters, for the devolution of a republic, fading, as they all do, into oligarchy, and this one succumbing to a telling flaw in a body politic, apathy.

The victory was ensured by the lack of participation of voters from 2020. In 2020 155 million people voted, 81 plus 74. In 2024, 75.12 for Trump, 71.74 for Harris, equals 146.86.

Apathy was a product of indifference and disillusionment with a political system that represents special interests, corporations, and culturally dominant players, the religious groups, and non profits, that the two parties fund themselves from. The minority parties got less than 1% of the vote each, Jill Stein and RFK.

Apathy does with democracies, what it is doing in this republic, which may be on its last legs with the rebirth of an autocrat, to rule or govern in January. That will decide everything, to rule or to govern?
