ANCIENT MONUMENTS, PRESENT SORROW

The Holy Land it’s called, quite the poor choice of words for the place. It’s a lot like many other such tragedies, France sold the American West to the Americans because it could, the Indians got the Great White Father, and the US Cavalry.

The Victors in WW2 created a homeland for the European Jews in Palestine. The document, UN Resolution 191, May, 1948, stipulated a separate homeland for both Palestinians and the emigrating Jews.

The US Indian Wars ended in 1917, with the Indians relegated to Reservations, and dubious civil rights. The Palestinians have lost their homeland, live on reservations, occupied territories, subject to the will of their conquerers, a captive people, indefinitely.
