an unstable society

Because of the pandemic everybody’s been home and paid attention to the killings of unarmed Black people. The pandemic has been it’s most effective in poor communities where there is no social safety net of any consequence, it’s rugged individualism for the poor in the only first world country that does not have universal health care, this is why the American response to the pandemic has been an example of an American exceptionalism, an unstable society governed by Donald J Trump and his sycophants.

Endemic poverty and social injustice, a police state manifesting itself daily, and how does it go on, they do it with the advertising.

The pandemic has shined a light on the problems of community policing, police unions, and public health. It’s an unstable society because it is unequal, your zip code at birth has a lot to say about your economic destiny.

Here we are, let’s hope this dark moment, the pandemic, leads this society into the light of compassion, community, not the darkness of authoritarian control. Today, it’s a toss up.
