AN EXIT LANE

Let us hope the political class, in it’s role in this catastrophe, can give the Russians a way out. Not making an enemy of the Russian people is what success is in this situation.

Putin has led his country, and Ukraine, into a disaster of his making. His plan now is to play victim, get his people on his side of this catastrophe, by selling that Russia is the victim of hostile forces. The sanctions are his hole card, “Look what ‘they’ are doing to you!”

An exit lane means finding a compromise and not allowing Putin to play the victim of the system, the evil ones, the US, the EU.

Putin is selling “ we are the victims” of “them”, just fighting back, as his war rages on and people flee the hell of war, that human catastrophe. The man seems unhinged, and here we humans are.
