This explains Trump and his functionaries approach to Foreign assistance, like AID, International aid programs, programs without tangible returns on investment.

America voted for a transactional President, a “what’s in it for me” guy and his regime, and a supplicant Congress, that is ceding its powers to Trump. Trump has the votes, a Republican House of Representatives, and Senate, a captive Supreme Court. Trump’s calling the shots.

A democracy requires democrats, not Republicans or Democrats, people who have a committment to the social contract, the Constitution. Patriots, seem to be in short supply in the Congress, and American State legislatures, people with a committment to their oaths of office, and the Republic, for which it stands.
