A SENSE OF COMMUNITY

is not selling a fear for safety from predatory immigrants. Selling unreasonable prices, the way things used to be nostalgia, and its them, the Democrats, responsible for four years of rising prices is. Biden’s management of two wars, one an uncalled expanding genocide which is not acknowledged by the perpetrators and is morphing into a regional conflict in the Holy Land, and the border, made a new regime more, not less, likely. It’s not selling them and us, and that’s where the country is at, in the middle of a social upheaval that has not yet broken the democracy completely.

A sense of well being is not possible in a them and us society. The election was not rigged. Biden was not a great cold warrior, he was an average one, and Trump is what he is, an effective confidence man with the gift of gab, and he is today a very powerful man in a fading republic, elected president by the majority of those who voted.

A sense of community is a possible light at the end of this tunnel, a realization: we are all in this civic nightmare together, as Americans, as citizens in a democracy, in the republic for which it stands, and add in a little humility, we’ve almost lost it, it hangs in the balance today.
