Now, 20 years later, you might watch “Building of the World Trade Center,” Port Authority of NY and NJ, 1983. I just watched it, a PR piece about the construction of the first tower. These buildings were designed to withstand fires, plane crashes, they were not designed for what happened to them.

I found it at the top of Google, a documentary on the building of the first Trade Tower, finished in 1971. It is 18 minutes long.

In black and white, it explains itself, what an actual steel framed building is, it was awarded, says the doc, The Architectural Achievement of 1971. Watch it if you dare, learn something.
